 Richard(the lionheart) had an evil brother, john

 The crusades made the king of France and of England crusade together as

brothers and got rid of the jealousy

 The outcry over becket hadhad increased until finally henry had gone into

penance to be publically whipped at Canterbury

 Becket was even made a saint

 Henry’s wife died and his children turned against him, two of his sons including

the heir died

 Richard the lionheart met David’s gaze and smiled. At that point David wanted to

go on crusades with him

 Ida was being sold to make money to support the third crusade

 Sampson bought Ida because she was of noble class, she brought no money or

estate with her.

 Ida fainted when she first saw Bull

 Sister Mable started to love brother Michael when he stopped a stallion that was

charging towards them and his shirt ripped off

 Ida did not want to marry Sampson because he was of the wrong class but he had

bought her

 She went to the powerful lord Fitzwalter thinking that he could stop the marriage

since he was a family connection but she couldn’t even get to talk with him

 First time she actually had something to confess in confession

 Sampson got married in st. mary le bow

 Ida grew to love David very much and she could not believe that the good looking

Michael was sampsons brother

 relations between the brothers had improved in recent years and after Michael had

stopped by almost every day after davids mother died

 Michael asked david if he wanted to go to the holy land on crusades but Sampson

asked if he was trying to kill david

 Ida and Michael immediately liked each other

 Ida thought David should be allowed to crusade as well even though she was sold

against her will for crusades

  Ida said that Sampson would not understand the principals that it concerned and

right before Sampson could throw a temper tantrum , a servant burst in saying the

jews were rioting

 it was a mistake though. The jews just showed up at Westminster palace to make

a presentation to the king

 unfortunately some courtiers rushed out and killed several jew which then did

start a riot

 brother Michael pulled a jew out of the riot fight and brought him inside the

house, Sampson asked why he hadn’t killed him because wasn’t it right to kill

infidels like on crusades. But Michael said that the jews would all be converted in

the end and how would they be converted in the end if  they were dead. he also

LIED that this jew had already converted

 when simon the armourer had died sister mable partially adopted his son Adam

 she brought him over the her brothers house a lot to play with his kids

 in most houses of London the upper level was actually larger than the bottom and

the overhanging top level was supported by timbers

 since everything was wood fire was the biggest hazard

 at this time everyone was told to switch their roof and ground floors with less

flammable materials but Sampson did not want to pay it.

 Sampson decided to bring everyone to bocton for a few days

 Sampson was mad because king Richard had put large taxes on everybody and he

said if this is how king Richard rules then let him go to hell

 The king wanted even more money for the crusades yet Sampson wasn’t even

Christian

 Sampson said it wouldn’t surprise him if England went to a commune of the

barons

 Commune: self governing with almost no interference from the monarch

 When Sampson said he would support a commune Ida got angry and started

yelling at bull that he forges his place. But she forgets her place as his wife too

 Sister mable got a little tipsy and tried to seduce brother Michael

 Sampson was still mad at Barnikel for having his nets in the water

 Since Pentecost was mad at simon the armourer he had a score to settle and when

he found out that simon had left a son he decided that was who he would take it

out on

 A night that was going on crusade was now staying at their house, david was in

awe of him and Ida had completely transformed herself

 Ida wanted to find david a noble wife and she said perhaps his son could be a

knight

 After seeing the knight, david despised his father

 Brother Michael had a dream that Ida and the knight were cheating and he

accused the knight of it but he had apparently been wrong. It was his jealousy that

had caused the dream not a vision

 Books were not all accurate, and Michael tried to teach david some

 david started not feeling well after the knight left

 john and longchamp were competing to take over throne, people liked longchamp

better

 Davids sickness was getting worse and Michael was constantly praying for him

and trying to help him get better

 Michael was trying to get david to become a monk when he got better and could

walk fine again and david said that it would actually be nice but Ida was furious

and said she wanted him to marry into a noble family and have children

 When Michael was told to leave he was talking to sister mable and she told him

that she tried to warn him about the unnatural love. Michael said that he didn’t

love Ida anymore and she said that she meant david. At first Michael was angry

but then he realized that it was true.

 Longchamp was the chancellor

 Sampson bull was seen in a gathering by david with prince John and they

arranged for prince john to be the heir instead of Arthur. At first ida thought that

they were dealing with him as a traitor to the king then she realized they were

helping him.

 Prince john is giving England the commune

 Now that john was winning and was going to lead Silversleeves realized that he

was on the wrong side so after he killed one of johns knights and david saw he

had to kill david so that Silversleeves could still be on johns side in the end.

 All the barons realized that with the commune they get taxed even harder than

with the king so they all realized that they didn’t actually want the commune.

 Silversleeves found out that Alfred had been written down as a serf so serfs could

not own a fishmonger business or do anything that adam ducket was now doing. It

had been a mistake in the past but nobody could prove it because nobody was

living anymore from that time. So Silversleeves showed the court that his cousins

all worked under people to keep the land that they lived on

 Adam lost everything that he had worked for and now he was not a real citizen

 Sister mable was now taking care of Silversleeves because he was old and blind.

 One day on their walk she brought him to London bridge where the church of

Thomas becket was

 She told him to pray or she would leave him there.

 When he prayed he got his sight back and recognized the place

 A month later Michael died with sister mable by his side

 And she saw the demon that was going to take his soul to hell leave empty

handed.
